RENATO "RONNIE" ANTONELLI, of Jackson Township passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 23 rd , surrounded by his loving family. His parents were the late Teresa and Giuseppe Antonelli. Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers Paolo, Luigi "Gino" Antonelli and his father-in-law Gerald Carnes. Ronnie was born in Lanciano, Italy and came to the United States in 1967. While acquiring his U.S. Citizenship, he was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam, for the country he loved with pride and devotion. Ronnie was very devoted to his family and was exceptionally proud of his sons and their accomplishments. He worked with concrete as a driver and finisher for 40 years. He took great pride in his home, was an avid gardener and landscaper. Ronnie loved entertaining and making all of his guests feel at home. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandy (Carnes) Antonelli, son and daughter-in-law Dante and Kristen, son Marco all of Jackson Twp, brother Tony Antonelli of Canton, sister Yolanda Stella of Castelfrentano, Italy, sisters-in-law Linda Antonelli, Angie Antonelli, mother-in-law Ruth Carnes all of Canton, 16 loving nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to his nieces Teresa, Vicki and Angela and to his numerous special friends for their commitment and devotion. Thank-you to Dr. Silviera and the Transplant Team at the Cleveland Veterans Hospital. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 am at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at St. Peter Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled Veteran's Association; 9540 McCallum Ave. N.E., Alliance, Ohio 44601 or to Wishes Can Happen; 1310 N. Main St., North Canton, Ohio 44720.
