Rosalie A. (Capaldi) Ianni, age 79 of Canton, passed away early Saturday morning after a brief illness. Born in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Carlo and Anna (Davide) Capaldi, she was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore "Sam" Ianni in 2008, son-in-law Jerry Reid, brother Anthony Capaldi and sister Louise Clayton. Rosalie was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish and a lifelong member of the McKinley Eagles. She worked for the Timken Roller Bearing Company as a payroll clerk for 19 years, then the city of Canton for 10 years before retiring. Rosalie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Betsy Ianni, daughter Lisa Reid, three grandchildren; Salvatore and Sophia Ianni, Auden Reid, brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Patricia Capaldi (Rosalie's adopted daughter), sister and brother-in-law Amelia and Lee DeBias, sister-in-law Fernanda Capaldi and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday (Tonight) from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. G. David Weikart, celebrant.
