Rose DiCato (Martino) 89, joined her husband in heaven early on Sunday, October 25 ^th . She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Martino; mother, Antoinette Martino (Meola) of Greci, Italy; her brothers: Fred, John, and Richard Martino; and her loving husband of 65 years Henry (Hank) DiCato. Survived by five children, Edward DiCato (Darlene), David DiCato (Jackie), Christine Thaxton (Frederick), Antoinette Kelley (Patrick), and Maria McCarty (Frederick). Grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00AM at Christ the Servant Parish with MSGR. Lewis Gaetano celebrant. Interment will be at St. Peters Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8 pm and Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 am in the Rossi Funeral Home. Rose made many accomplishments during her lifetime. She worked at the Ohio Belle for 30 years as a switchboard operator.

Rose was an active member of the following organizations: Saint Vincent DePaul, Fish, Crowned Point Environmental Center, the Democratic Women's Party, Cursillo. Rose is remembered for her love, strong commitment to community, and her passion for cooking. She was a great woman and we will always love her.
