Rose Marie (Meffie) Micciche, age 79, of Canton, passed away early Sunday, December 20th. Born in Canton to the late Michele and Raphael (Gennetti) Meffie, she was preceded in death by her sisters Barbara Ann Vitale and Shirley Duckworth. Rose was a 1959 graduate of Timken Vocational High School. During her working career, she was employed at Diwalt Optical, Suarez Corporation, and most recently Utility Pipeline. She loved and embraced her Italian American heritage and culture. Rose also enjoyed trips to casinos, where she could be found trying her luck at slot machines. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph R. Micciche; children Joseph M. (Susana) Micciche, Laura (Gary Weissman) Micciche; grandsons Giovanni and Lou, whom she adored; brother Michael A. (Diana) Meffie; and many loving nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at Calvary Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations in Rose's name, may be made to Aultman Hospice.
