Rose R. (Roca) Ianni 1937-2017, 79, of Canton, passed away Friday, January 27 ^th , 2017 at Aultman Hospital. Rose was born in Canton, Ohio on May 25, 1937, daughter of the late Francisco and Maria Roca. Rose was a graduate of McKinley High School and spent 27 years at the Canton City Treasurer's Office, retiring from the Stark County MRDD. Rose resided at Chapel Hill Community where she was a member of the "wolf pack" and was involved in many activities. Rose is survived by two daughters, Laura Ianni (Robert Luke); Gina (Jeff) Gosnell; sister Violet Roca; grandchildren, Francesco, Laurel, Robert Jr. (Marissa), Jeremy (Kady) and great-grandchildren, Vivian and Mason. Rose is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Francesco (Frank) Ianni. A Mass of Christian burial will be sung at Christ the Servant Parish in Canton with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano officiating, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Calling hours will be held Monday (Tonight) from 6-8 p.m. at Rossi Funeral Home, Canton. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and parents at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Chapel Hill Community, Aultman Hospital SICU and 5 North floors, and the Aultman Cancer Center, especially Dr. Trehan, for her care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
