Rosina "Rene" M. Premier, age 96 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late John and Mary (Tombrello) Alfano on May 20, 1925. Rene was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest F. Premier, grandson Andrew John Palumbo, sisters Nina Brincat and Pauline Alfano and brothers Vito and Joseph Alfano.

Rene is survived by her children Annette (John) Palumbo of North Canton, Debra Premier Michalek of Canton, and Domenico Premier of Pooler, Georgia, granddaughter Melissa (Adam) Sterner, and great-grandchildren Jacob, Ethan, and Logan Sterner. Also survived by sister Mary Jo (Miles) Huffstuttler of Homewood, Alabama, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., with the Very Rev. Fr. John E. Sheridan, STL as celebrant. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Elizabeth Baum and the staff at Bethany Nursing Home for their loving compassion and care shown to our mother.
