Roy A. Sergi, age 71, of Catawba Island/Port Clinton, passed away at home after a short illness. Born and raised in Canton, where he attended McKinley High School and apprenticed in Tool & Die Making at The Hoover Company. Later he worked for Ford Motor Company where he worked until his retirement. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine (Minniti) Sergi, and brother, John J. Sergi. He is survived by his three children, Brian Sergi of Marion, Denise (Justin) Nave of Fairfax, VA, and Jessica Sergi of Wadsworth; four grandchildren, Abigail, Harper, and Lucas Nave, Seldon Ketchmark; sister-in-law, Judi Sergi of Houston, TX; and nephew, Justin (Jackie) Sergi and their children Adeline and Luca of Vancouver, WA. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. The funeral procession will form at church on Saturday. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
