RUBY KARIPIDES died on October 15 at Bruening Health Center at Judson Park Retirement Community in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 3, 1923. She was a 1941 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and a 1945 graduate of Kent State University. Ruby's artistic talent guided her in her years as an elementary school teacher and later in a second career as designer and manufacturer of a sports line, Karaby. She was preceded in death by her parents Kiriakos and Mary (Misailides) Karipides and sister Sophia and is survived by her sister, Kathryn (David Brown) and brothers, Michael, Sam and Mickey (Mary Lou). Funeral rites will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Canton on Saturday at 10 am with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. The family will receive from 9:30 to 10:00 am prior to services. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Donations in Ruby's memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
