Salvatore Armogida
Age 67 of Canton, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 3 rd 2013 from a very sudden and unexpected illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Salvatore was born on June 19, 1946 in Sant' Andrea, Ionio, Italy. He was a member of St. Michael's parish and the Archangel's Choir. Salvatore was also a member of the Sant'Andrea Men's Club. While in Italy, Salvatore worked for the Alfa Romeo automobile manufacturer in Milan. Salvatore came to the United States when he was 23 years old. He retired from the Timken Company after thirty years. Salvatore was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to all. Salvatore would help anyone anyway he could and loved the chance to grab a tool to work on a car or home repair. His favorite tool was a garden pick for tending his tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and eggplant. Salvatore's loved spending time with family and friends. He grew up playing soccer and passed along his love for the game to his children and grandchildren. Salvatore was especially proud of the accomplishments of his son. Salvatore is preceded in death by his son, Joseph B. Armogida ,parents Luigi and Marietta Armogida of Italy, sister Anna Cosentino of Arizona, brother Armando Armogida of Italy, parent in-laws Bruno and Victoria Domino of Canton, and brother in-law, Frank V. Domino also of Canton. He is survived by his wife Adeline of thirty nine years, son Luigi (Sheila ) Armogida of Medina, grandchildren Julia and Joseph, brothers Enrico (Anna Maria) Armogida of CZ, Italy ,Giovanni Armogida of CZ, Italy, sisters, Caterina (Joe) Cosentino of Brooklyn New York, Cecilia (Renato) Limardo of CZ, Italy, brother in law Bruno Cosentino of Tucsan, Arizona, sister in-laws Marianna Domino (John Coblentz), Thea Domino and many special nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Family and Friends will be received on Sunday October 6th from 2pm to 5pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on St. Michael's at 11am Monday October 7 th with friends and family being received at 10am. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
