Sam J. Volpe age 94 of Canton, passed away early Monday morning after a short illness. Born in Canton to the late Alexander and Mary (Bell) Volpe, he was preceded in death by his brothers Tony and Albert and sister Rose Manderine. Sam was an Army veteran of WW II serving in France and Germany. He was retried from the Ford Motor Company after 30 plus years of service. Sam loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and fishing. He is survived by his wife Angeline (Milano) Volpe with whom they celebrated 70 years of marriage on April 19 ^th , 2017, children Denny (Nancy) Volpe, Pam (Bill) Masters, David Volpe, grandchildren Vince (Shauna) Volpe of Austin, TX, Jay Masters, Jeff (Katelyn) Masters, Andrea Masters, David (Brittany) Volpe, Daniel (Leah) Volpe, five great-grandchildren, sisters Sue (John) Thompson, Angeline Epps and numerous nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A private service will be held and internment at Calvary Cemetery.
