Obituary

Sandra (Roberto) Ciraci, 79, passed away on Saturday, September 4th, 2021. She was married to Ciro Ciraci, who passed away in August 2002, after 39 years of marriage. Sandra was born in Canton, Ohio on September 22, 1941, the daughter of Salvatore and Angela (DeStefano) Roberto. She graduated from Canton Central Catholic in 1959 and Walsh College in 1977. She later received her Master's Degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. Sandra taught Kindergarten for 35 years at St. John The Baptist School in Canton, OH, St. Louis School in Louisville, OH, and St. Luke School in Indianapolis, IN. Sandra was a devout Catholic and served as a Lay Minister and served on the parish council at St. Simon Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Sandra was an avid fan of Notre Dame football, the Indianapolis Colts and The New York Yankees. She was adamant that Roger Clemons should be put into the Hall of Fame. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and enjoyed eating pasta with hot peppers. She is survived by her three sons, Ciro Ciraci II and his wife, Cindy, of Bolivar, OH; Frank Ciraci and his wife, Mary, of Dana Point, CA; Samuel Ciraci and his wife, Stacey, of Loveland, OH. She is survived by 10 grandchildren: Angelina, Francesca and Ciro III of Bolivar, OH; Michael and John of Fort Worth, TX, Anthony of Chicago, IL and Anna of Dana Point, CA; Samantha and Sho Hakoyama of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Joseph and Ella of Loveland, OH. She is survived by her sister, Rita Brumbaugh and her husband, Tom Jackson of Canton, OH. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Ciro Ciraci, her sisters Anne LaRocco and Grace Stump and her brother, Edward Roberto. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at The Basilica of St. John The Baptist on Saturday, September 18th at 10:00 AM with the Very Reverend John E. Sheridan, STL- Rector. Calling hours will be Friday, September 17th from 6-8 PM at Rossi Family Funeral Home in Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Mercy Medical Center Home Health & Hospice, 4369 Whipple Ave., Canton OH 44718.
