Sandra A. (Diano) Marcoaldi

passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the age of 89. Her passions were faith, family and friends. Sandy was born on September 27, 1924 to Emidio and Nicolina Diano in Canton, Ohio. After graduating from McKinley High School, she married the love of her life, Joseph A. Marcoaldi, on January 12, 1946. They lived across from their beloved Saint Anthony's Catholic Church and School surrounded by family, friends, priests and nuns who celebrated our Italian Heritage. No visitor ever left their home hungry. After 34 years of marriage, Joe and Sandy were separated by his death and she lived courageously for 34 more years. As the only remaining Diano sibling, Sandrina kept alive the memories of her brothers and sisters-in-law Tony and Kate, Frank and Helen, Louie and Ann, and sisters and brothers-in-law Carmella and Tony Venditti, Lucy and Trieste Martelli. She also loved her deceased in-laws Rosato and Angelina Marcoaldi, John Marcoaldi, Gulielmo (Coach) Shori, Anita and Fred Parcher. Being rich in age, Aunt Sandy grieved the loss of nieces and nephews and close aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends

who were near and dear to her, but she held onto the belief that she would see them again.

Left to treasure the memories are her children Joe and Patti Marcoaldi, Bill and Barbara Jeffries, Steve and Chris Marcoaldi and grandchildren Julie and Shawn Mace, Joe and Marie Marcoaldi, Melissa and Evan Seemann, Bill and Leah Jeffries, Jenna Jeffries, Christine Marcoaldi and Ryan Pilla, Dominic Marcoaldi and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Rita Marcoaldi, Rose Shori, Norma and Bruno Marzoppi, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated on Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at Saint Anthony/All Saints Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop and the Rev. Fr. Nick Shori, nephew, as celebrants. Family and friends will be received before the mass at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Our family is forever grateful to Father Tom and our mom's faith family for their love and compassion, to the angels at Canton Christian Home who tended to her physical, emotional and social needs and to all who loved our mother.
