Semala "Simmy" Milano, age 93 of Canton, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born in Canton on September 17, 1931 to the late Timotheos and Mary (Janikides) Pertginides. Simmy was a 1951 graduate of Canton McKinley High School, and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where she sang in the choir. She worked for a German baker for a short period of time, and later at Carnahan Market where she was a produce manager. Her personality kept customers coming back in to visit. Simmy was known in the neighborhood for her cooking and baking, as her house would always be filled with family and friends. Above all, Simmy loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Ralph Milano; and brother Andrew Pertginides. Simmy is survived by her children Mark (Laura) Milano, Cassandra Milano, and Mary Milano and her husband Troy Immel; grandchildren Erin Milano (fiance' Jesse Fulks) and Matthew (Bridget) Milano; and siblings Athena (Tom) Ehlert and Larry (Cindy) Pertginides.

Private funeral services were held. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
