Shawn P. "Dude" Boyle, age 44 of Canton, lost his battle with colon cancer early Sunday morning. A resident of Canton, he was preceded in death by his father Gary L. Boyle Sr. Shawn had a love for animals. He is survived by his mother Sandra K. (Michael) Clunan, brothers Gary L. (Mary) Boyle Jr., Ron Boyle, sister Maryann Boyle, nieces Samantha and Savannah, nephew Christopher, his boys Zach, Justin and Chance, numerous cousins, friends and his beloved kitties Pretty Girl, Harris and Jersey Girl. The family requests only family members and close friends of the family are welcome for calling hours on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 8:00, Pastor Chad Anderson officiating. Respecting Shawn's wishes he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stark County Humane Society or the Colon Cancer Foundation.
