Sidney Farah, age 83 of North Canton, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018. Sidney was born in Canton on May 14, 1934 to the late Charles and Anissa Farah. He attended Canton Mckinley High School. Sid was employed by the Stark County Sheriff's Department for 11 years, after which he was employed for 13 years at Buckeye Protective Services. He was an avid gun enthusiast, he enjoyed watching old westerns and adored his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Sid was preceded in death by sister Liz Lee. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Takla (Shaheen); two daughters Danielle A. (Jay) Seese of North Lawrence, and Liz "Lizzie" (Carl) Macris of Canton; four grandchildren Farah Cook, Anissa Seese, Andrew Seese and Marios Macris; and two nieces. He was a loving husband, father, jiddo, uncle and great friend to many. He had a hearty laugh unlike any other and he will be missed dearly. A private funeral service has been held, and interment took place in Forest Hill Cemetery, officiated by The Very Rev. Fr. Michael Corbin. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sid's name may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Canton, St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church in Massillon or to the Red Cross.
