Sophie Prica was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Bozsia and Anna (Mrvosh) Trbovich on October 16, 1915. She lived most of her life in Canton, Ohio. She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and the KSS Serbian Sisters Group. Sophie was known best for her cooking and hosting Slavas with her husband of 51 years, Jovan, at their home. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and Baba whose greatest joy was serving others. In addition to her parents, Sophie was preceded in death in 2002 by her husband Jovan; sister Nellie Trbovich; brothers Michael, George, and Peter Trbovich. She is survived by daughter Nellie (William) Booth of Hudson, son Eli (Sally) Prica of The Woodlands, TX, three grandchildren; Ryan (Jordana) Booth, Emma and Erin Prica, brother Nicholas (Dolly) Trbovich of Fresno, CA, and many nieces and nephews. We also thank the staff of Laurel Lake Retirement Community of Hudson, Ohio for the outstanding care, love, and support shown to Sophie and her family throughout the eight years she lived there. Family and friends may call on Wed., May 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rossi Funeral Home, Canton, Ohio. Pomen services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will be held on Thurs., May 2, 12-1 p.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. by Father Panta Stanciu at the Rossi Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
