Stephanie Jean Sigler, age 45, passed away January 23, 2018 in Canton, Ohio. Born on June 10, 1972 in Canton, to John and Sharon Sigler, she graduated from GlenOak High School in 1990. She went on to get a degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton before moving to Atlanta, Georgia and starting a successful career working for the U.S. Army Environmental Program. A life-long learner, Stephanie went on to complete a Master's degree in Business Administration – Technology Management and finally ended up in San Antonio Texas, still working for the U.S. Army. As a civilian working with the Army, Stephanie received several prestigious awards including The Department of the Army Achievement Medal for Civilian Service, and the Installation Management Command's Stalwart Award for extraordinary achievement. While growing older, she never really grew up and continued a lifelong love of the Muppets and reading; although, Stephanie's greatest passion was spending time with her niece and nephew. She was an avid scrap booker and developed several profound friendships across the country, for which she was eternally grateful for. Stephanie is survived by her parents John and Sharon Sigler; brother and his wife Brock and Kellie (Stickle) Sigler; sister and her husband Heidi and Josh Godby; nephew and niece Hunter and Arya Sterling. There will be a memorial service at the Fort Sam Houston Main Post Chapel in San Antonio, Texas at later date. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home in Canton on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Canton on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aultman Compassionate Care Center for all of their help and kindness.
