Stephen A. Ginella, age 89, passed away on September 21, 2022. He was committed to the Catholic faith, praying the rosary and attending mass on a daily basis. Born to the late Stephen M. Ginella and Adeline (DeMeo) Ginella. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Pauline (Concatto) Ginella to whom he was married for 66 years. Stephen also was proceeded in death by his daughter Paula C. Milano, son-in-law John Span, and sister Della Vara.
He graduated from McKinley High School. Upon graduation from Kent State University, he became a Real Estate Broker operating as the owner of the Stephen's Agency. He was past President of the Stark County Board of Realtors. Stephen was very proud of his Italian Heritage, in which he was a member of the Unique Club of Stark County and a volunteer at the Stark County Italian American Festival.
He could always be found at his children and grandchildren's events, along with his numerous hours of volunteering at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and St. Anthony Parish. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, which included attending college football games, Hocking Hills and New York City just to name a few. Steve and Pauline loved to watch and cheer on their Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie J. Span (special friend Rick Rohrer), son-in-law Stephen Milano, Patti (Dan) Joliat, Stevie (Charity ) Ginella, and Dr. Michael (Dr. Lisa) Ginella; his grandchildren Julie Mascaritolo, Gina Deeser, Rocco Milano, Tony Milano, Shawnelle Contini, Courtney Joliat-Peterson, Jill Hofbauer, Paul Ginella, and Susana Ginella; his great-grandchildren Andrew Mascaritolo, McKenzie Deeser, Colin Mascaritolo, Liliana Contini, Lucia Contini, Emily Hofbauer, Henry Hofbauer, Enzo Milano, Little Rocco Milano, and Charlotte Ann Peterson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Drennia Paliotta and brother-in-law Joe (Linda) Concatto.
A special thanks goes out to Stephanie J. Span's friend, Rick Rohrer, who assisted with Stephen's care during his declining health.
A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Anthony/All Saints Parish, with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
