Tatiana was born in Livani, Latvia on July 8, 1928 to the late Dr. Kristofor Albitsky and Valeria (von Medvey) Albitsky. Her family was displaced during World War II and they were thankfully naturalized in the U.S. where they contributed faithfully to the lives of many. Tatiana worked for many years in banking in New York until lovingly devoting her life to being a homemaker for her sons and husband. She was involved in charity work and devoted a great deal of time to the church and especially the bulletin at St. George. She also volunteered tirelessly in helping many new Russian, Ukrainian and other Eastern European immigrants find their way in their new homeland, including translating for them for daily needs, area agencies, doctors, and especially at Aultman Hospital. Tatiana is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years Fedor, of Canton; loving and adored mother to sons Vladimir and Nikolay; a dear and loving grandmother to Alexandra, Niko and Christopher; an adored and loving mother-in-law to Jan (Zickefoose) Kapustin, wife of Vladimir; and eternal friend and Godsister to Tanya Budilo of California. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to OhioHealth Foundation – Kobacker House, 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
Condolences may be left in Tatiana Kapustin's online guestbook at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/cantonrep/ The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Charles von Gunten and Jean O'Leary-Pyles and the staff at Kobacker House in Columbus for their special care and support of our loved one, Tatiana. A strong woman of deep faith, we wish to especially thank Father Stephen Frase, Father John Stavropoulos, and Father Demetrios Gardikes for their prayers and comfort of our loved one, Tatiana, during her all too brief time in Columbus.
May her memory be eternal.
