Terri Lynn (Swingle) Carnes, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Canton, Ohio.

Born February 12, 1951, in Canton, she was the first born daughter of Paul and Evelyn Swingle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stephen (Scotty) Carnes, and her brother, Paul O. Swingle.

Terri is survived by her sisters, Robin ( Jeff ) Hinton and Kimberly (Steve) Decker, her children, Phillip and Shannon Cooley, along with her grandchildren; Evan, Hunter, Samantha, Mason, Jacob and Parker, her stepdaughters, Sterrin (Matt) Raymond and Leah (Trevor) Barnes and her special friends, Carey and Aletha.

Terri worked at Acme Fresh Market in the deli for14 years before retiring in 2013.

Her legacy was one of love. She volunteered for the Handicapped Association of Stark County for most of her life. She showed up for families and friends when needed with her presence and support. Terri’s love and loyalty will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Per Terri’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held prior to burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, 3655 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, Ohio in their on sight chapel on July 2, 2026 at 10am.
