Terry Vahila, age 82, of Malvern, Ohio passed in the early morning hours on Friday, August 9, 2024. She was born in Canton, Ohio on January 8, 1942 to the late Paul and June Terrett. She graduated Perry High School and attended Aultman School of Nursing and Ohio University for a brief time. She was an insurance agent at the family business, Vahila Insurance, for most of her life. Terry enjoyed reading, cooking Sunday dinner, shopping for antiques and attending Fall festivals. She was often seen walking her dog at the Malvern walking path while rocking out to the tunes of Motley Crue, Metallica or AC/DC. She loved music! She earned the nickname Ted as the manager of her son's bands, Rated X and Righteous Child. She was also known around town for donut runs where she delivered donuts to various businesses or workers around Malvern.

Along with her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her husband James "Jim" Vahila. She is survived by her children Jim Vahila of Malvern, Jason (Veronica) Vahila of Canton, Jessica Vahila of Malvern and Jaime (Rod) Fox of Minerva; grandchildren Chad, Delaney, Emmie and Max Vahila, and Natasha (Ray) Hughes; and her rescue dog and walking partner, Macon Jake Roosevelt Vahila.

Friends and family will be received at the Rossi Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 16 at 11 am followed by entombment in Calvary Cemetery.
