Terry Varn, age 76 of Canton, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and son, he was also a friend to many. He was born in Canton on December 13, 1946 to the late Romolo and Janet (Perretta) Varn. Terry graduated in 1964 from Lincoln High School, and from Ohio University in 1969. In 1976 Terry married the love of his life, Mary Varn at St. Anthony Parish after which they had 47 wonderful years together.

Terry was a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio for over 40 years, and devoted his professional life to keeping the lights on for Canton residents. He retired in 2010 from AEP after 41 years, and continued his career by teaching upcoming utility engineers until his death. Terry had many hobbies, including golfing, skiing, and camping with his grandson. He also traveled the world with his loving family and was a Boy Scout Leader for his son's troop.

Terry is survived by his wife Mary Varn; son Brian (Lori) Varn of Columbus; grandson Dominic; brothers Bob Varn and Ronnie (Pat) Varn both of Canton; and sister Janet "Susie" (Gerald "Lukie") Ewing of Port St. Lucie, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish at 10 a.m.
