Tommy Domotor WON a heroic battle with cancer on December 19th. Although cancer claimed Tommy ' s life, the disease only served to magnify his generous, courageous and beautiful spirit . Tommy's compass i onate and giving light will always shine brightly i n our hearts and minds. An honors student and star athlete at St . Michaels , Tommy began his high school career at Canton Centra l Catholic this year . He will best be remembered for his gentle and kind way of being with friends , family and everyone he encountered . He was preceded in death by his parents Tibor Z. and Andrea (Szeverenyi) Domotor. Tommy is survived by h i s brother Tibor, sister Isabella , Aunt Rose, Uncle Peter, and cousins Sophia, Henry, Francesca, Paige and Chloe - all of Canton. He wil l also be lovingly remembered by his grandparents Rosalia and Tamas Szeverenyi , Uncles Sandor and Tamas Szeverenyi, and cousins Ede and Sara Szeverenyi, al l of Hungary. The family would like to express its deepest gratitude for the tender and compassionate care that Tommy received at Akron Children's Hospital . The entire staff of the hospital was remarkable - THANK YOU for all of your gracefu l , patient, and life-giving efforts. Tommy's family would also l ike to extend an immense THANK YOU to the St M i chaels, River Tree Church and Central Catholic community of families and staff members. Your love and support throughout Tommy ' s illness were invaluable. A memorial service honoring Tommy ' s remarkable life and undying spirit will be held at St Michaels on Tuesday, Decembe r 29th at 11 :00 AM. The family wil l receive visitors at S t. Michaels starting one hour before the memorial service begins. "When you die, that doesn't mean you lost to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and the manner in which you live." (Stuart Scott). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tommy's name may be made to Akron Children's Hospital, Oncology/Hematology (1 Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308).
