It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas R. Martin Jr., age 80, on June 21, 2023. Born in Canton on January 15, 1943, to the late Thomas R. Martin Sr. and Dorothy (Coffman) Martin, preceded in death by his wife Sharon (Arthur) Martin. He was a Navy veteran and a 1961 graduate of Lincoln High School. Thomas led a fulfilling life characterized by his love for family, friends, animals, music and sports. A loyal supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Thomas's passion for music and his favorite sports team was contagious.

Family was central to Thomas's life. He leaves behind his daughters, Holly, Betsy and Jennifer. Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Faryn Blasio, Richie Tovissi, Morgan Schuerch, Carley Bennett, Logan Anson, and great-grandchildren, Jayden Boles, Kay'lynn Boles and Kavik Simpson. His sister, Nancy Muth, also survives Thomas, carrying with her fond memories.

A burial service will be held in memory of Thomas R. Martin Jr., on June 30, 2023, at 9:45 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In honor of his life and the causes he cared for, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.

Thomas's love for his family and friends, his passion for his favorite sports teams, and his commitment to the causes he cared about are a testament to the full and vibrant life he lived. His memory will continue to fill us with love. He will be deeply missed.
