Thomas E McKimmie II (1943-2021), age 77 of Louisville, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, January 9th. Born in Salesville, OH to the late Thomas E. and Geneva McKimmie, he is preceded in death by sisters Barbara D. Barnett and Coral J McKimmie. Thomas was a 1960 graduate of McKinley High school and a 1976 graduate of the University of Maryland. He retired from the USAF after serving his country in the Vietnam War and 20 years of service and then went on to retire from the USPS following an additional 20 years of service to the community. Thomas is survived by his children David G. McKimmie of London, UK, Philip E. McKimmie of Tarpon Springs FL, Samantha J McKimmie of Canton, OH; two grandchildren Elise E. and Jakob E. McKimmie of FL; brother Benjamin McKimmie, sister Marlene (Gary) Moore of Canton, OH; his loving companion Charlotte (Frankie) Simon of Louisville, OH and many more family and friends. Private services and interment with full military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Wednesday, February 10th. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
