Thomas J. Samartino, age 78 of Canton, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to the late Roger and Mary Louise (O'Donnell) Samartino, he was also preceded in death by his sister Joanne McDermott. Thomas was a 1963 graduate of Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and a 1975 graduate of Gloucester County College, with a Bachelor's Degree in business.

He was employed with Nestle for over 30 years as an account manager before retiring. Thomas was a member of the Buckeye Corvette Club and volunteered with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the archive room. Tommy, as he was known to his family and close friends, was an avid golfer and long time member of Tam O'Shanter Golf Course.

Thomas is survived by his children Thomas (Cindy) Samartino, Jr., Kimberly Samartino, Karolyn Samartino, Kristen (Daryl) Mihal; four grandchildren Frankie and Lou Janowicz, Hunter and Haley Mihal; brothers Roger (June) Samartino, Gary (Andee) Samartino; sister Loretta (Charlie Zelinsky) Samartino; brother-in-law Walter McDermott; special aunt Anna (Jim) Kleiner; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services to begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thomas' name may be made to First Tee of Canton.
