Timothy J. Faherty, age 90 of Canton, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Stephen P. and Ruth M. (McGreevy) Faherty. He was preceded in death by sisters Joan and Anne Marie and brothers James and William. Timothy was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church since 1980. He was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Columbus and earned his B.A. from The Ohio State University. He was formerly Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at First Merit Bank. He belonged to various trade/business organizations, was past-president of Voices of Canton Incorporated, was on the Board of Building Appeals, Star Academy Africa School Project, and Retired Professional Men’s Club of Stark County. Timothy is survived by his wife of 64 years Catherine (Irwin) Faherty, sons Michael of Greensboro, NC, Stephen (Kelly) of Cincinnati, OH, Joseph of North Canton, OH and Sean (Melissa) of Dublin, OH, grandchildren Reid, Ryan, Elizabeth, Andrew, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. There will be a private family service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Columbus.
