IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy V.
Hostetler
August 15, 1949 – May 17, 2025
Timothy V. Hostetler, age 75 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born in Canton on August 15, 1949 to the late Vern and Theresa (Laubacher) Hostetler. Tim graduated from Marlington High School, and after proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement while participating in aerial flight. Tim and his entire family are proud of his service in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Tim was a Crew Chief on a Huey Helicopter as a Spec. 5. Later in life, Tim retired as a Truck Driver from Kenan Advantage Group.
He lived life with a kind heart, a big laugh, and a gentle tone. His love for his family was immense and was always close with his brothers and sister. He spent his years joyfully driving his semi-truck and even after he could no longer do it, talked about it constantly. He was a big kid at heart and enjoyed working on his model trains and driving his RC cars. He will be missed by so many.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Hostetler, and brother Steve Hostetler. Tim is survived by his daughter Tanya (Ben) Hostetler of Orlando Florida; siblings Linda (John) Perez, Jeff (Fatima) Hostetler, Mike (Reynne) Hostetler, Phil (Laurie) Hostetler, and Ron Hostetler. Also survived by nieces Stacey, Gabrielle, Lynndzy, and Breanna; and nephews Chad and Keith.
We are so grateful to the VA, Mercy Hospice Nurses and Tina, along with the Home Instead Aides. These people with their knowledge, skill and love made Tim's stay at home possible.
