Todd Davis Maragas, age 55 of Canton, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on June 18. Born in 1960 in Canton to the late Aristotle "Tally" Sr. and Carole (Davis) Maragas he was also preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle Frank Maragas. A lifetime resident of Canton, Todd graduated from McKinley High School in 1979 and went on to play college football for the University of Pittsburgh from 1979 to 1983. Todd returned to Canton and was a successful businessman and entrepreneur, opening the New Yorker Fitness Club among other ventures before joining his father and uncle in the family business, becoming the president of AP&P Development and Construction Company. Todd's passion for the outdoors and fishing brought him many adventures and countless hours of memories on the boat with his son, wife and many friends and family over the years. He was always quick with a joke and his laugh was infectious. Todd loved his work and took great pride in running the family business. He was always helping people, eager to bring out the best that he saw in them, whether training other athletes, mentoring friends or assisting his employees and other business people, he was kind and generous with his time and expertise. He was a devoted friend, father and husband. Todd was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Todd is survived by his wife of 23 years Jamie Beth (Rozelman) Maragas, son Nicholas Maragas, sister Tara Maragas, and brother Aristotle (Julie) Maragas, Jr. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home and Friday morning from 10 to 11 am in church. Trisagion Service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will on Friday at 11:00 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with Very Fr. Joseph Cervo Arch-priest officiating. Internment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. All are invited to share their memories and join the family for a meal in Todd's honor at St. Haralambos following the graveside service.
