Tomasa "Dolly" (Rodriguez) Popa, age 87, passed away Wednesday evening. Born in Canton to the late Jose and Carmella (Spallone) Rodriguez, she was preceded in death by her husband Cornell Popa, great-granddaughter Lilly Gaskell, brothers Rick DiTomaso, Tony DiTomaso and Joe Rodriguez. She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. Dolly worked for Shuman Drugs and Allen's Drugs, retiring as a pharmacy assistant. She was a volunteer for Aultman Hospital, J.R. Coleman Center, J. Babe Stearn Center and delivered for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her sons Mike (Tina) Popa of Canton, Andy (Rhonda) Popa of Louisville, daughter Judy (Tim) Haverstock of Louisville; six grandchildren, Brittany (Andrew) Hettinger, Richard (Chanel) Fowler, Lisa Popa, Shaun Popa, Stephanie Popa, and Cody Taylor; four great-grandchildren, David, Joseph, Hayes and Aida, sister Gloria Schnabel of Canton. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
