Treesa F. Bressi, age 96, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home. Born in Canton, Ohio, on December 15, 1920 to the late James and Mary Jeffries. She was a graduate of Canton South High School, the first in her family to graduate from high school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Samuel A. Bressi, three brothers and six sisters, and one son-in-law, Rick Stidd. She is survived by her children, Frank (Linda) Bressi, Angie (Mark) Evans, Sandra (Patrick) Dickerson, and Terri Stidd, nine grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Lucy (Herman) Haren, and two sisters-in-law Doris Jeffries and Betty Fannin. Everyone remembers the daily breakfasts (coffee, bread & cheese!), which had been held for decades, with the aunts at her house. No longer will there be a "Message Center" where all the cousins could learn the whereabouts of their mothers from a simple phone call to Aunt Treesa. She was always content to stay at home unless the weather was warm enough for her to sit in the sun on her porch, or maybe take a trip to "play the pennies". The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Teresa Bohland for giving our mom such great care and companionship. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in Christ the Servant Parish with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano celebrant. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mighty Wind Christian Outreach.
