Valerios (Larry) Capaldi

Valerios passed peacefully at home on November 6, 2019 and is now dancing in Heaven with the Love of his life, Mary Anne. Born in Canton in 1928, he was the son of Italian immigrants, Elia and Serafina Capaldi.

Proudly serving in the Navy during WW2, Larry returned home and began his love affair of 67 years with Mary Anne. An entrepreneur, he was synonymous with his first business, the Plaza Barber Shop. He developed and supported many commercial acquisitions, most notably Ristorante Capaldi, which was his passionate collaboration with Mary Anne.

Survived by his daughter, Dr. Robin Ford-Rigsby (Thomas), his grandchildren,

Kendall Ford Whipple (Nicholas), and Adam Jacob Rigsby, his sisters Matilda Spitale, with whom he shared many memories and love, and Eleanor Nader.

The family is most grateful to Briana Parks for the incredible devotion and care for Larry and Mary Anne, as well as Crossroads Hospice for the support to the family.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday November 30, 2019 at 1:00pm at St. Anthony Church, Canton Ohio, with a private burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Valerios may be made to St Anthony Church.
