IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Venanzio M.
Mariani
July 3, 1940 – November 1, 2018
Venanzio M. Mariani, (Enzo) passed away suddenly on November 1, 2018. Enzo was born on July 3, 1940 in Santa Maria del Ponte in L'Aquila, Italy to Carmine and Angela Mariani. Enzo moved to the United States in December of 1965 with his wife and infant daughter. By trade Enzo was a very talented and artistic painter. After many years of hard work, Enzo started his own painting company. He went on to paint and design many local restaurants and Catholic churches. Enzo retired in 2005 leaving his son, Carmine at the helm. Enzo found much joy in bringing laughter to others through his jokes and story telling. He never refused a heaping bowl of homemade pasta (or even store bought) and a fresh brewed cup of espresso. Enzo also loved his sweets. He had his own private stash of chocolates, which he only shared with his two youngest grandsons. Enzo is preceded in death by his father and mother, and many dear family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ilia (Iberis) Mariani, three daughters, Angela Kronmiller (Robert), Patricia Theiss (Timothy), Cathy Mariani, and one son, Carmine Mariani (Mandy). Enzo also has a brother, Mario Mariani (Giovanna) who live in L'Aquila, Italy. Enzo leaves behind six grandchildren whom he loved very much. Logan and Alexa Kronmiller, Timothy and Madeline Theiss, Quintino and Gabriel Mariani, and one great grandson, Liam. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. Friends and family will be received Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Rossi Family Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Parish in Massillon, with Father Ed Gretchko as celebrant.
