Vicki L. (Russell) Smith passed away on February 1, 2019 at

Mercy Medical Center in Canton after an extended illness. She was born on August 22, 1944 to the late Rex and Katherine (Hoffman) Russell in Alliance, and lived in Canton for most of her life.

Vicki worked for Canton City Schools, was a travel consultant, enjoyed golf, traveling and her being with her family. She was active in The Canton Woman's Club, College Club, Kent State University Alumni Association and other civic activities.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law William Wyss, Sr.

Survivors include her sisters Adrienne Wyss, Mary (Scott) Cline, Marie (David) Yarian; nephews William (Lora) Wyss, Matthew and Phillip Yarian; nieces Bekki and Sarah Wyss; as well as many cousins.

A Memorial Service is planned at the Rossi Family Funeral Home in Canton on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1 p.m. A Celebration of Life is planned at the Canton Woman's Club on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to the Canton Woman's Club, Mercy Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
