VINCENT F. MANNO, warmly known as "Uncle Jim", age 87 of Canton, passed away Wednesday afternoon. Born in Canton to the late Ilario and Assunta (Pronesti) Manno, he was a 1943 graduate of McKinley High School. He served in the Army Air Corps during WW II in France with the 880 th Bomber Squadron. Upon his discharge Vincent attended the Ohio State University and graduated in 1950. He worked at the Bliss Company and then the Hoover Company as the Material Control Manager, from where he retired. He was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish. Survived by his life-long friend and companion Dorothy Kirkland, sister Catherine Manno, niece Linda St. Jean, nephew Randy (Julie) Gonzalez, great-nieces Nicole (St. Jean) Brady, Kelly (Gonzalez) Perry, great-nephews Larry St. Jean, Brian St. Jean, Kody Gonzalez, Ross Bradley, and numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Rossi Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
