Violet M. (Weisent) Yontz age 92 of North Canton, Ohio died after an extended illness on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. She was a resident of St. Luke Lutheran Home for The Aging. Violet was the wife of the late Joseph W. Yontz, who died March 17, 2001, to whom she was married 55 years. Violet was born in Noble County, Ohio and graduated from Caldwell High School. She was a long time member of Little Flower Catholic Parish and a charter member of the Rhoda Wise Foundation, and a Third Order Franciscan since 1990. Violet was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ella (Michel) Weisent, brothers Carl, Rueben and Kenneth Weisent. She leaves behind a loving family of five children, Sue Masterson of Pembroke Pines, FL, Dennis and Carol Yontz of Fort Wayne, IN, David and Patricia Yontz of Canton, Kathy and John Ranalli of Troy, MI, and Mary Lynn and Pat Kilkenny of Kernersville, NC, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters include Bertha Smith, Eileen and Vincent Kress, Ardella and Don Schrader all of Louisville, brother Clem Weisent of Canton and sister-in-law Judy Weisent of Louisville. Friends may call on Friday (Tonight) from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. The Third Order Franciscan's will hold a prayer service at 5:30 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 am at Little Flower Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Leo Wehrlin celebrant. Internment will be in St. Louis Cemetery. The funeral procession will form at church Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Violet's name may be made to Little Flower Catholic Parish.
