Virginia M. (McCourry) Chuchanis, age 73 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday. Born in Virginia to the late Frank and Cora (Beasley) McCourry, she worked for Dr. Siegfried for 15 years and then as a self-employed seamstress, specializing in wedding gowns. She also worked for her son, Gust, at Buckeye Music and Vending. She was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of the Lincoln Alumni Association. A member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, Virginia loved getting together with her TOPS friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Theodore G. Chuchanis. Survived by her children; Gust (Rebecca) Chuchanis, Francine (Keith) Selby, Corinne Zellers, Sylvia (Todd) Williams, her grandchildren whom she dearly loved; James, Jennifer, Victoria, Kayla, Jaclyn, Andrew, Augustus, Pheona, Kyuss, great-grandson Nikolas Chuchanis, brothers Chuck (Pat) McCourry, Jim (Ingrid) McCourry, sister Barb (Dave) Lake. Family and friends will be received on Thursday (Tonight) from 5 to 7 pm and Friday from 10 to 11 am at Rossi Family Funeral Home. Trisagion Services will be Thursday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
