VIRGINIA L. (THEWES) LOMBARDI, age 88 of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening. Born in Canton to the late George and Alice Thewes she was preceded in death by her husband Herman J. Lombardi, sister Eleanor Tilton, brothers Donald Thewes, Robert Bellinski, Bernard Bellinski and step-grandson Riccardi Lombardi. Virginia was a member of St. Peter Catholic Parish. She was retired from Harter Bank where she was employed as a comptroller. Survived by her children Thomas J. Brahler, Joan and Carl Schiavone, Gary and Sue Brahler, step-son Patrick J. and Debbie Lombardi, step-daughter Judy and Tony Dicosta, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Russell and Shirley Thewes, sister Mary Mohler and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 am at the Rossi Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am at St. Peter Catholic Parish, Rev. Fr. John Sheridan celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Church. The family would like to thank Dr. James Johns and staff at Little Flower Family Practice, the staff of Mercy Medical Center and the Canton Regency.
