Obituary

Willard "Will" "Popper" M. Grimsley age 67 of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 26, 2023. A life resident of Canton, he was a 1973 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and an avid Bulldog supporter and fan. He played several fumbleball and softball teams and also played semi-pro football with the Canton Bulldogs. Popper was a retired union ironworker and member of the Ironworkers Local #550. He was preceded in death by his father Willard R. "Whiz" Grimsley and brother John Grimsley. Popper is survived by his wife of 46 years Kim L. (Zelmer) Grimsley, mother Glenda (Goss) Grimsley, daughter Tiffaney Grimsley, sons Josh M. (Tiffany) Grimsley, Joseph M. (Stacey) Grimsley, grandchildren Alexis, Taylor, Colton, Grant, Brayden, JoJo, Gionni, sisters Kim Grimsley, Jolene (Jeff) Neilson, Kristin (Scott) Kirby, brothers Ed Grimsley, Doug (Jamie) Grimsley, Dan (Mary) Grimsley, sister-in-law Virginia Grimsley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 6 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Tugboats Pub at Meadowlake Golf.
