William W. Dinger I, age 77 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. He was born in Canton on August 8, 1949 to the late Leroy and Hazel (Frey) Dinger. William attended Lincoln High School and later worked as a self-employed construction contractor.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Peggy Lechner Dinger; and brothers Leroy Jr., Terry, and Rick Dinger.

William is survived by his children Bill (Amy) Dinger, Danny Dinger, Sarah Dinger, Kim Dinger, Karen Carroll, and Roxanne (James) Frame; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sisters Sherry Wilson, Cathy Pugh, and Arlene Gilliam.

There will be no services at this time. Inurnment to be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
