William E. Nichols, Sr., age 77, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. He was born in Bristol, Virginia on December 14, 1946 to the late Charles Henry Nichols and Martha Bell Lilley. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, William later retired from Babcock & Wilcox, where he worked as an electrician. William love being in nature and fishing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle whenever he had the chance.

Along with his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother Charles Nichols. He is survived by his children Lora (Gerald) Vukmanovich, Tammy (Thomas) Biehl, and William (Lisa) Nichols, Jr.; and siblings Richard Nichols, John (Suzie) Nichols, and Mary (Dick) Waide.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
