William (Bill) S. Babics age 71 of Canton passed away Wednesday morning at Altercare of Louisville. Bill was born in Canton on February 8, 1942. He was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. A 1960 graduate of Canton McKinley High School where he excelled in baseball, basketball and football. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Teddi on May 24, 2004, his parents Nick and Mary Babics. He is survived by three sons and daughters in law Mike and Pamela Babics of Canton, Sean and Peggy Babics of Malvern and Nick Babics of Omaha, Nebraska. One sister and brother-in-law Barb and Pete Spilios of Canton and Joe and Derika Babics of Massillon, six grandchildren Mackenzie, Madison , Zachary, Anthony, Avaya and Jeremiah. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 4 to 7pm and Monday morning from 10 to 11am at Rossi Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am in the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Zivojin Jakovljevc officiating. Interment will be at Warstler Cemetery. A Pomen service will be at 6:45pm on Sunday in the funeral home.
