William (Bill) Woody, age 67 of Canton, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer for over two years. Bill was born in Akron, Ohio on May 22, 1949, to the late James and Conway Woody. He was a graduate of Springfield High School. He was a former employee of Schrader-Bellows Co., where he was a district sales manager. He was also employed by Ohio Fluid Power, and did various other jobs after his retirement. Bill was an avid fisherman but his passion was golfing, especially with his long time golf friends who will dearly miss him. He was a the type of person who could fix anything, and was a very generous man. A very stylish man when it came to dressing, and of course his signature shoes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James, and sister Ruth Thompson. Bill is survived by his wife Susan; his son Michael, of Cuyahoga Falls; granddaughter McKenzie, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, with services to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
