Obituary

Yolonda “Londa” (Natale) McClellan, age 74 of East Sparta, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 surrounded by family. A beloved wife, mother and sister that leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be felt in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was born in Canton and spent most of her childhood in Minerva. A 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School, she would marry the love of her life John in 1971. Together they would raise two daughters. Yolonda treasured being a stay-at-home mom and was active in all her children’s school life and activities. Later in life, she was co-owner and operator of Ohio-Ship-N-Board. She loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and just sitting on the glider in the backyard with her husband, John, enjoying the beauty of God’s creations. Everyone always loved her signature salad, even when it was late. John and Yolonda enjoyed many classic car cruises and attended countless auctions over the years. They loved a good deal!

In 2023, Yolonda was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. As the illness progressed, her family learned to meet her where she was, finding joy in the small moments. Her love for the Lord, classic country music, her gentle hand-holding and the way she would light up when she saw a familiar face. Even as the disease took her memories, it never touched the love she gave and received.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Theresa (Lanza) Natale and granddaughter Kylie Robertson.

She is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 54 years John F. McClellan, daughters Lisa (Mike) Steigerwald and their children Simon and Olivia, Lorie (Richard) Robertson and their children Sydney, Lucas, and Carson, brother Bill (Tracy) Natale, sister Anna (Tim) May and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 11:00 am, at Guardian Angels/St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bryan Tutas celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all Yolonda's compassionate caregivers over the years.
