Albert “Big Al” Monterrubio age 73 passed away due to complications from a stroke at his home on Friday surrounded by his family. Al was born in Canton to the late Manuel and Bienvenida Monterrubio and was a graduate of McKinley high school. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, and going and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved to socialize and regularly met up with his Hartford school and other friends to enjoy breakfast and lunch together. Al is survived by Denise Monterrubio, his children Michele (Terry) Brady, Matthew (Mellesha) Monterrubio, and his four grandchildren, Malena and Terry Brady; Kyle and Adam Monterrubio. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 25th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Private family services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Aultman Hospice and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
