Albert Silvestri Obituary
Albert C. Silvestri, age 78 of Canton, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born in Canton on March 17, 1939 to the late Adelmo and Angeline (Fusillo) Silvestri. Albert served in the U.S. Army Reserve; he retired from Republic Steel in 1997, where he was a Crane Operator for 40 years. He was a Shop Steward Local 1200, a member of the VFW and the Louisville Eagles. He loved playing cards and working at MRDD as a bus driver, assisting the handicapped. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Frank Silvestri and John Cardinal. Albert is survived by his children Debra (Rick) White of Canton, and April (Eric) Soehren of Winter Garden, FL. Also survived by four grandchildren Ricky (Jennifer) White II, Ryan (Shelby) White, Lynnsay (Christopher) Jones and Kari (Jonathan) Land; 5 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law Joanne Silvestri and Mary Cardinal; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
