Angelo G. Bozeka, age 96, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Canton Regency. Angelo was the son of the late George and Dina Bozeka. He was a lifelong resident of Canton. A member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, he attended Canton McKinley High School. He was a retired employee of Diebold's where he worked for 40 years as a machine operator. Angelo was a WWII veteran serving in the Marines. He received the Purple Heart after being wounded in the battle at The Island of Okinawa. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years Cleanora, brothers Carl Bozeka, Steve Bozeka and Nick Barry, sister Tula Fostines, sister-in-law Janet Barry, and brother-in-law Nick Kelesidis. Angelo is survived by his son George (Jennifer) Bozeka of Akron, daughter Roseann (Dr. Matthew) LiCause of Canton, three grandchildren Angela (William Thomas) Caley, Christopher and Jonathan (Ally) Bozeka, sisters-in-law Helen Bozeka of Canton, Helen Bozeka of Florida, and Kelly Kelesidis of Canton, and brother-in-law Pete Fostines of Florida. Every time you saw Angelo he always had a smile on his face and was always there for his family. He was an avid backer of Canton McKinley sports as well as the Indians and the Browns. He was also a member of St. Haralambos Men's Club. Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday from 12 noon to 1pm at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with services starting at 1pm with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund.
