Anna T. (Procario) Gliatta age 96, formerly of Canton, passed away early Sunday morning in St. Henry, OH. Born in Canton to the late Armondi and Angela (Bucci) Procario, she was preceded in death by her husband Bert Gliatta, brothers Rinaldo (Rose) and Ermano Procario, sister-in-law Mary Procario, and sister Clara (Enrico) Coladonato. At age 4 Anna and family moved back to Italy (Roccaraso) in 1929. They returned to the United States in 1947. She married Bert Gliatta on October 3, 1953 and raised five children; Patsy (Beth) of Cumming, GA, Angela (Barry) Paynter of Coldwater, OH, John (Susan) of Fresno, CA, Bert Jr. of Wilmington, NC, Danny (Michelle) of Travelers Rest, SC, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Anna was a very active member of Little Flower Catholic Parish, Past President of the Little Flower Alter and Rosary Society, Past President of Golden Age of Little Flower, Treasurer of the St. Bartolomeo Society, and the Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge #1628. She was actively involved in golf, bowling and bocce. Anna also sang in the choir in Italy and Little Flower. Family and friends may meet at Little Flower Catholic Parish for a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, 10:00 am, with Very Rev. Canon Christopher Henyk celebrant. Entombment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. For those who wish, please make a donation in Anna's name to Little Flower Catholic Parish.
