Annette “Tink” (Shaffer) Mellon age 72 of Canton, passed away peacefully Monday, February 10th, 2020 surrounded by her devoted family and ones that loved her dearly after an extended illness at Community Care Center of Alliance. Born in Canton, Ohio on February 21, 1947, she was a 1966 graduate of Glenwood High School, a member of the First Christian Church of Canton and the National Veterans Service Star Legion. Tink was very active in her community and children's lives, a small example of involvement she embraced was being a Girl Scout troop leader and a Cub Scout Den mother. Tink's love for life and people was even evident in her lifelong work in Home Health Care. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family. Tink is survived by her husband of 52 years Harry "Jim" Mellon, children Craig Mellon, Jan (Chris) Andrews, Kendra DiGiacomo, Kristopher (Terra) Mellon, six grandchildren; Emma and Olivia Andrews, Katerra, Izzabella, Capria, and Killian Mellon along with many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Wilma and Glenn Kintz, brother Daniel Shaffer and son in law Robert DiGiacomo. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm with a Memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm, Pastor Mark Black officiating. Everyone is welcome to join the family and friends for a luncheon at the Canton Nazarene Church located at 522 30th St NW Canton Ohio 44709 following the memorial service.
