Bernice R. (Burkhart) Rowley

Bernice Rowley, age 101 of Canton, Ohio, formerly of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She was born on July 8, 1922, a daughter of the late Clemence and Emma (Butler) Burkhart. A graduate of Barnesville High School, she worked at Lotus Glass and retired in 1988 from Barnesville Hospital, where she was a LPN for 38 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizen Center, as well as a member of the Cedar T.W.I.G of Barnesville Hospital.

Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband Hubert Rowley, sister Audrey Bell, and brothers Elwood, Harold, and Kenneth Burkhart. She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Albert) DePasquale, grandson Albert DePasquale, and two great-granddaughters Rebecca and Gabrielle DePasquale all of Canton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Holly Memorial Gardens (73360 Pleasant Grove Rd. Colerain, Ohio 43916) at 1 p.m., with Pastor Ed Eberthart officiating. The family would like to give a special thank you to Cardiovascular Consultants and Crossroads Hospice.
